Goodbuy Gas?

As the debate over alternative fuel continues, some drivers aren't waiting for greener options-- they're creating them.

"What a waste! PEOPLE. WE ARE NOT CAUSING THE EARTH TO GET WARMER! It's a natural cycle that the earth has been in for ever."

      Yawn.
The issue is not the glacial-interglacial cycle. Noone says that is anthropogenic.

"30 years ago "they" were writing about how we were entering the next ice age."

      Yawn

      1.They?
What if I say "they" talked about global warming in 1958?

      1958 - Global Warming - It's NOT newly known

      2.When?
I could write today that Earth will enter another ice age at some point in the future and I would be right. What's your point?
Interglacials last for more than 10,000 years. The issue however is rapid warming. 1.5-3 celsius in 100 years.
If as you say "the earth has been in this cycle for ever" just when did a similar warming period happen last time? And before that and before that etc?
What kind of cycle are you talking about?

    • Common...is there really enough oil for all of us to convert our cars to this? And all they time and energy and mess just to have a car that's a little greener? What a waste! PEOPLE. WE ARE NOT CAUSING THE EARTH TO GET WARMER! It's a natural cycle that the earth has been in for ever. Warmer, colder, warmer, colder. 30 years ago "they" were writing about how we were entering the next ice age.

    • Oh noooo... I'm in the process of looking for a new car and I'm conflicted: SC 430 or biodiesel....SC 430 or biodiesel... I like the people in this story, Christina is right on, it's up to us to make the little effort to create the change. Nice job D-Shore!

    • Check out this pod:

"Reynolds, Indiana is a typical midwestern small town...except for the fact that they're on their way to completely abandoning traditional fuel sources and they've already tacked on a new name to the town sign---'Bio Town.'"
