I once was on board one of worlds latest and biggest sailing freighters (At Åland in the Eastern Baltic). Today that kind of working conditions would be impossible.. People washed aboard, freezing, food running out, sails ripped apart..
A kite is something totally new. It´s a great construction because it´s easily depowered (made to pull less when the wind increases quickly). This is one of the main advantages towards the predecessor windsurfing..

So a company basically re-invented something that ships have used for hundreds of years. Not really much of an accomplishment in my opinion.
