EPA Blocks States' Emissions Standards

In a decision that begs the question, "What environment are you protecting?", the EPA ruled that California and 16 other states could not set their own admissions standards. The plan required a 30 percent cut in carbon emissions by 2016 to 36 miles per gallon, and would include 40% of the United States population. Arnold Schwarzenegger threatened to sue, claiming, "It is disappointing that the federal government is standing in our way and ignoring the will of tens of millions of people across the nation. We will continue to fight this battle."

    • IDIOTS!! It needs to be addressed, if all the planet lived like our western civilization we would need two and a half planets!! The talks in Bali need to be instigated and at the first hurdle, crumbling, it is TOUGH!! the time is up for discussion! How do we ever expect developing monster powers China and India will ever take on the challenge of alternative energy, if we complain now? Lets put our heads together and think of a realistic solution and achieve it together!
