I'm not sure of the residual GHGs that would be used in the conversion or in its use, but it's good to see companies looking for ways to meet energy needs without compromising food sources.

    • Yes, more and more land is being used to grow crops for biofuel, and that is causing food riots in countries such as Mexico. We need to have alternate sources of energy, but at the same time we need to weigh the balance of it and the overall effect it will have on the environment and on other facets of our lives. Unfortunately, we really are getting a late start with this. We should have been doing this on a major scale twenty years ago.

    • I think about the GHGs with ANYTHING being burned. No matter if it is hemp oil, etc. But it is the fact of recycling left over product, that would otherwise not be used. The citris peels are also appealing to me (No pun intended) because as you said, compromising food sources. I have heard of many farmers growing half of there agriculture for biodiesel.
