Major Net Gain From Switchgrass Based Ethanol

This is good news as higher yields would require less land and water usage. The problem is getting plants up and running and getting this to our pumps in enough time to actually make a difference. 2020 or even beyond is too long to wait.

    • I love that farmers are one of the biggest parts of the solution and that free range switchgrass and prarrie has a reason to grow, and then the grazers solid waste can then be put into an anarobic power generator. Healthier, wealthier, and I think a bit of a happier situation than exists today where grassland is dimminished, livestock are corralled, and their waste grows and often pollutes groundwater to devestating effect. Now it can generate power without polluting and provide fertilizer for use again later in the farm and even producing corn ethanol is at least a small part of the solution for use as a fuel additive if not a substitue in and of itself.
