Another good site for an organization that brings solar and alternate energies to the world, particularly in developing countries.

Live Earth. This is a great site with much useful information on solving the climate crisis. It was also a concert I won't soon forget attending. I'll post other links with information when I get the chance.

Also if current could define "Carbon Neutral" for everyone. My understanding is that if you use what is already above ground, it is in the existing carbon cycle. This is why biofuels (appropriate sources) including wood (replant those trees) are okay to use. VS bringing coal or oil up from under the ground and ADDING this carbon to the existing carbon above ground. That is what is increasing the overall carbon level. I just still hear so much about finding new oil (they are planning to dig up Colorado for it's oil shale)....and that there is plenty of oil. You even hear this on Coast to Coast AM (you would think they would know better). They don't seem to get the concept that we don't care if there is oil. That even if there is oil, we don't want them to extract it and burn it! If this concept is right, we need to get the word out LOUD AND CLEAR.

If the US continues to emit carbon, we must be willing to house climate refugees. This story centers on Bangladesh and the effects of global climate change.

This should be the role model for how we retrofit existing buildings in all cities and towns. Conservation without trauma. Then there will be no excuse.

I saw David Blume speak at the Midwest Renewable Energy Fair last summer. He said the Hybrid Prius could run on E-85 without modification, gas cars can be converted to run on E-85 or E100 for as little as $50.00 to $100.00 and the diesels can run on 100% biodiesel without modification. You don't have to purchase a new flex-fuel car.
