Twodee runs for the cure!

twodee
We (TWODEE) are asking for your support. We are running the Anchorage marathon to raise money for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This is something we do every year and this year we are working with our friend Maryellen to raise $50,000 for a cancer research grant. Please take a few minutes to watch Maryellen's story in the thread below. If you are not in a position to donate at this time, please pass this link along to others so that together we can find a cure for cancer.

Thank You,
Debrianna and David

    • I am glad I took time to open this video file. Sometimes life is just too short. I trust your friend had as much as she needed to go on from here? Thank you for sharing your Friend's wish with your fans twodee. I feel certain it will come true.

    • thank you Sean. Come visit. We have some great new places to hike!

We had a 20 mile run yesterday. I bonked at about 17 miles. I did not get enough protein in my body and it was all hills for 3 hours. A beautiful and stunning morning anyway.

We will always keep on with the keeping on.

    • twodee: I was both saddened and inspired by your video. I'm terribly sorry to hear that Debrianna lost her sister. I don't know what I would do without my sister, who has battled and, thankfully, survived cancer.

just so you know, your efforts are effective. upon receiving your e-mail, i watched and contributed what i could.

you are both an inspiration to me. keep on keepin' on with the good work.

sometimes I see Jan's icon and this creepy suddenly-discovered "uh-oh! ...Here comes Mom!" thought just kinda hits me and I wonder if I'm due for a scolding or something =P

/* echoz scamperz off fast! b4 Jan has a chance to let him have it! =D */

    • jan, thanks. We run for your parents and anyone who lost loved ones to cancer. We run for/with the survivors and with many others who raise money for this and other causes. It is beyond a runner's high to be at a marathon and see all those purple shirts. brings tears at every race.

"Since 1988, more than 360,000 volunteer participants have helped raise more than $850 million."

      Go Team!

We posted this last night and it was instantly placed onto the Home Page. It has just now been removed from the home page as far as I can tell.

      hmmm.. just wondering....

    • Twodee: what wonderful people you are. I will go to the site snd see if I can send something no matter how small. I lost both of my parents to cancer and there isn't a day I don't miss them, so I know how you feel. Thank you so much for doing this. People like you give me hope for the world. And just as a sidenote, you have to be a real ----- to redlight a post like this.

    • you guys are extraordinary. kick ass twodee(s). =D run ning for life. ...$50,000 huh? makes me wonder where the science is really at in cancer research... I recently heard of some bacteria that kills off cancer cells but I always wonder why some things don't actually manage in application. I always tend to hold big money interests suspect as we know it's the profit motive they really serve...no matter the known/potential cost in human life and dignity I've seen... I wish you the best of luck to win that race!!! =D
