Please sign the pledge to do away with plastics-

Did you know that there's a trash heap in the middle of the Pacific Ocean that stretches from the US to China and all the way to Hawaii?

It's the size of Texas, and it's YOUR TRASH. Mainly plastic too, so animals eat it.
Turtles mistake plastic bags for jellyfish and birds feed on the tiny particles mistaking them for their small prey.

Please become more aware of this, spread the word, and do your part.
Bring your own bags to the store (cloth, reusable).

Or regular grocery stores (Like Trader Joes and Ralphs etc) sell them for about a DOLLAR!!

      I'd say corn would be a bad idea as we're already putting the food prices way into the red with other bad uses of it (ie: ethanol) but HEMP.. Hemp is the way!!!

    • Really! These are horrific news and We need to put it forward so the Public will be more aware of it! Please, keep pushing! I am going to repeat what I said on the other post:

      I think that many people here does not know how to vote!

      Here folks, when you read an article that it is bad for the environment, we all understand your feelings against it but; (your vote should be positive); to bring these news up to the general mass public! When you vote negative, your are actually barring the news from reaching more people along the way!

    • We have the ability now to make biodegradable plastics from corn and hemp. Plastics from fossil fuels should become ancient history.

    • The blind consumption has gotten way out of hand...it's so sad...how best now, to clean up that horrible mess, that must be growing day by day..?

    • Good Point! We all should be more responsible with plastic and treat it as an environmental hazard issue. The only time I use plastic in a house is to dispose hazard materials just like the hospital does. I try to use the same plastic bag over and over.
