Monkey Pig, Monkey Pig, does whatever a Monkey Pig does..

"It's hideous. No one will be willing to buy it, and it scares the family to even look at it!" said Feng, no doubt whilst being surrounded by people eager to see it. If Feng was a business man he'd have made a pretty penny by now.
So, on a serious note, how does a pig end up looking like a monkey?

Let us remember about Down's Syndrome. Sometimes a person is more apt to have a Down's baby if they are older. I think over 45 or so. These days a lot more people are waiting to have kids until they are older....maybe this is linked? As well, Hermaphrodites are quite possibly just more recognized and talked about than they used to be. I think a few years back, as with every other "UNUSUAL" trait a person may have, it was just hidden or the individual was locked away and regarded as a freak. If all true thoughts and beliefs of all people were really known, imagine first how everyone would react, after a while though, imagine how when the dust had settled, how most everyone would relax because they didn't have to keep secrets anymore..that is as long as rules of religions didn't have to be kept!! Then we'd all be picked off for one reason or another...

Mutants will one day take over the Earth! Teach the pig to walk upright & things are just fine! I think some mutations are actually kinda cool! & when I found out six fingers on each hand is considered a dominate trait in humans,I was a bit pissed that I only have five on each hand! Some people love to fake things like this! For example: The Fiji Mermaid in my great great great cousin P.T.Barnum's museum exhibit was a fake! But Genetic mutations are becoming more common too!!! There has been a rise in hermaphrodite births recently & also down syndrome! Which makes me wonder can a pig have down syndrome ?
It's kinda sad some deformed creatures & humans don't live too long ! Those that do are very lucky! - 2 years ago

It's odd that we all say Monkey face. Is it possible that one of these mutations happened to a one celled life form millions of years ago...and then a two celled...four celled...see where I'm going?? Just because it happens doesn't mean even science can explain it.

Dude, maybe the guy f'd a pig and made this. That looks like a human lip.
Regarding the girl.
Wow.
I agree with Petrarro that to plaster a pic of this poor girl unclothed or at least uncovered, for more people to ogal at, is offensive. Offensive because we are galking and talking and won't do anything to help her. We are not scientists studying her and have no right to see her uncovered. She didn't get to decide if the whole world sees her condition right?

Intriguing that a deformed piglet gets more views and comments than a post about a crisis in British government. It could be that the monkey-pig is simply more charismatic than Gordon Brown. In fact, I can see that being the case. But is this really news? Why are we so fascinated by mutations?

Wait, with all do respect you need to understand that there is a bigger picture here; but since I don't have that much time, I'm gonna present it to you ever so bluntly. This is a fine example of what happens to live stock when pollution levels are (pun intended) sky high.
Not to go on a rampage here, but China's ignorance should not be tolerated. China's "blessing" of hosting the Olympic Games is both irresponsible and hazardous.

I was curious about the eyes, whether they were functional or not. I guess most likely not. Poor thing. It needs a good home. Definitely something to be treasured.

this kind of mutation happened early during fetal development. it seems that the eyes have developed between the nose/snout and the mouth; the snout looks to be at the top of the head. the eyes are clouded, so they're probably non-functional. the area directly above the eyes looks like gums. and the monkey nose probably isn't a nose at all.
this mutation just happens to look like a monkey.
i'd love this monkey pig.

It certainly isn't polydactyl like the cases you showed from India of multiple limbs, this is likely a genetic birth defect, caused by environmental polution or your lovely random cosmic radiation in a spirm or an egg if the parents didn't show any of the traits of this piglet. Nature is many things but predictable isn't one of them.

im making a genuine connection between the two... as i said in the other post... im comparing the different possibilities of how a mutation can occur (and look like)....and im also trying to provide my own "theory" and how this could have happened....

WhhhhhhhAT?
Why god did that?
Are you mentally handicapped? This is a parasitic twin. Identical twins are created when very early on in the pregnancy, the bundle of cells that eventually becomes the fetus, splits in two. If the split is not complete, you get twins that are connected, or siamese... and if something goes wrong with one of them, this happens.
What happened to the poor girl pictured above was not some punishment ordained by god.
It's a strange natural occurance, and its not obscene. the only disturbing thing here, is your messed up sense of morality. - 3 years ago

im sorry how this could have offended.. but im just making a connection between the different kinds of "mutations" that occur in biological creatures.... its sad that she ended up that way but she went through a surgery (both expensive and life-threatening) and she looks fine now..... (so you dont have to worry about the "a monster child, with the vagina on the side ")
its not a curse from god (granted if u believe in him/her) its just something that happens naturally... in this case cuz of an iodine defeciency...
