I'm still wondering if folks who drive around with sub-woofers cranked to "11" are making sure that my ears are bleeding properly.
Ahhh. There's nothing like a rattling trunk throbbing down the street...except, perhaps, a remix of a zillion hand grenades going off in rhythm in a garbage can accompanied by an overly-simplistic keyboard riff.

Great choice.....Stopnoise......I go in restaurants all the time where it seems impossible for humans talking and eating to make so much noise....the louder one group talks.....the louder the next....and so on....also listened to music too loud when younger.....eight track......it sounds like a train running through my head...especially when It is quiet..... sometimes catch myself wishing I was deaf.....with Alzheimers.....so I couldn't hear people......or remember I am one......would not want to miss out on all the wonderful sounds of nature though........Golden Ruler....Will............

I don't really think it matters where you go these days.

I live in a moderate sized city in the mid west and I'm constantly bombarded by noise from all sorts of sources. If it isn't the guy across the street proving to everyone within a twelve mile radius that he has a Harley-Davidson, it's the kids next door in their $800 Ford Focus, held together with Bondo and low expectations, with its $3000 stereo system letting the world know every time they pull out of the driveway that 50 cent is the greatest rapper of all time.

I'm all for freedom of expression and being able to do your own thing without fear of public reprisal or condemnation, but still, there should be such a thing as common courtesy for your fellow human being.

And don't get me started on billboards...

The world would be a much nicer place if it was less noisy.

Yes, we have a lot of ways that we have fallen short of 'the better life' and noise is certainly one of the persistent problems.

Are we just so used to having a f%^@ed way of life that we are dead inside? If that's the way we are, then it is no wonder the executive, legislative and judiciary just don't care.

Fuck the executive branch.
