A pretty good summery (although it's really just a sample of information) of what is going on in our food supply. Big Agribusiness, the EPA and the FDA are doing a pretty good job of making sure the public doesn't get to this kind of info. Andrew Kimbrell (who appears in the film "The Future of Food" ) and Dr. Vandana Shiva are great people to google if you want more info. Just wanted to share what I know. Please inform yourself on the topic if you are interested.

    • Here is a positive piece of news that I put here a few days ago. The article explains how farmers and ranchers are starting to organize and take back their farming principles which have guided them for 100's of years.

      (below is a clip from the letter that is being distributed to farmers and ranchers)

      OCM is fighting back - "Taking it back." Help them do it. Give them the
      information they need to win as many anti-trust cases against Monsanto as possible, state to state to state, by telling everything you know, with as much detail as you can provide.

      This is democracy at it's best!

    • If we could just get this GMO food stuff labeled, that would begin to alter their devious plans. I read that around 85% of US citizens would not buy GMO if it were labeled as such. The fact is; Monsanto knows that and that is the reason they are fighting us knowing how our food is grown.

      How can we trust a company who made DDT, Agent Orange, PCB's Roundup, and have all along tried to hide the dangers of each, and NOW they want to feed us??

      I am on the same page! Can you believe there are people who actually believe WE are the gullible ones for believing the organic food industry? Labeling is all I really ask for...the choice to avoid the things I want to, that's not so "un-american". And it's getting even more difficult now that the language is being blurred about what exactly is organic. The words "natural" and "organic" don't even mean anything without being certified. But it is still very very clear that GM foods do not have to be labeled...URGH!!

    • Take this seriously, this is no effing joke. You take the food supply and remove it from the big picture, and there is no more picture.

      Don't give your dollars to corporate agribusiness, support local agriculture wherever you live in any way you can, and try to eat as locally as possible.

      Nothing else matters if we don't have any food, ask the people starving all around the world.

      Yeah, the problem is that some uninformed people actually think that GM food is the answer to starving people around the world. They don't understand what the truth is. It's really sad...capitalizing on the necessity of food and hording is the problem in the first place. GM food just perpetuates the problem. Thanks for your feed back.

    • The new world order knows there are billions of excess
      people on the planet in there opinion. So de-nutritionize
      our food and we have a weeker imune system. result is predictable less people will survive a plague when it comes. Take care of yourself the government won't.

    • It is frightening to contemplate what has happened to our food supply. If a pill were available to provide me with my day's nutrition I would take it but then that would probably be genetically altered as well.

      We are organic and we are growing all the food we can next year and sharing the extra with food banks.

      I agree with what you said and wanted to commend you for growing your own organic food, most people will never know how to do that and what “real” food tastes like, and I thought it was a really nice thing you were doing to give the rest to the food bank. I volunteer at a local food bank and because of the mass of people they serve I have never seen anything organic on the menu.
