Solar power for dummies. When my lo-tech self can uderstand this, they're on to something. Thanks Jan, I've markrd it as a favorite.

If the huge amounts of money spent on designing, constructing and operating costs of just one offshore oil drilling platform were to be channelled into the R&D of this project everyone including the state of the planet would eventually benefit when the results are shown

All species live by the sun. It gives us life. It has the power to heat the entire world. Did we seriously JUST think of this?!?!

This is only the first steps in this technology sector. America likes bubbles, but renewable energy looks like something that could be more than just another bubble.

Yay!

A point worth making, in all seriousness of public policy, is that while we - as a nation, as a continental infrastructure - are marching forward into the past and 'getting our solar on', we need to be taking our pedal off the carbon emissions rapidly.

And anyone standing in the way of that now needs to be held accountable to the well-being of humanity, now and forever.

Thank you, Will... and it is a son, and he is a great young man aware of the task at hand. So yes, while I have concern I also have hope, even in the face of what we face. Hard at times, but without it there is nothing else. I have hope in the sun and in the power it has to save this planet and us if we only use it to its potential. Thanks again for your wisdom.
