    • this was really well done...very interestig subject that i never would have known about...so thanks for the knowledge. I really loved the part about the education "industry" being a patriarchal set up, i think that is a great issue to address...good job all around. Hope this gets picked up, it needs to be seen.

    • Very interesting to see and learn about the women's position in the science industry. I think that it is important for people to be able to raise a family while working. I hope I will be able to do it in the future...

    • Beautifully shot, and more importantly it illustrates a conundrum faced by our best and brightest women: choosing between career and family... and that pesky biological clock.

    • I agree with a lot of the positive comments here...this is an issue not limited to the field of science...but for any woman who found her "passion" later in life...

    • the unique challenges that women in the workforce face are well-documented, but much of the time, these challenges are described via a series of facts and figures. this story put a human face on the challenges. the fridge scene especially hit home -- for me, it perfectly captured the scientist's sacrifice

    • This is a very compelling heartfelt story. The reality of work/life balance is difficult and I've learned just how difficult it is for females in science.

    • This documentary was very well done. WithIn five minutes the timeless topic of "career or family" was portrayed and poignantly told by Anne and her partner. Questions posed by this video are not shallow or superfluous, instead the questions go to the heart and soul of most every working woman who has spent years building her professional credentials, spent countless days, dollars and teards in her chosen field in order to excel, only to face the proverbial "Sophie's Choice"-which "child" do you choose,

    • Anne, you and your boy friend need to really talk. Now!
If you and Tim are in love, that is beautiful. Plan and have
that baby soon, otherwise you will never be happy!

I will be thinking about you guys.

    • I really love this video. This absolutely puts into perspective that not only through science yet all jobs women have the under-hand as far as money (which our salaries are exactly what employers believe time and energy is worth), but the definite struggles women face through our biological need to reproduce as well as obtain a romantic life in the endeavors of having, and now in the last century, supporting the family. Kudos to the producers (especially my lil bro erik) and all of those hard-working women out there!!!Bravo!

    • Thank you for covering this story. I studied in the scientific field at UCSB and this issue definitely needs to be addressed. Awesome story!

Dominate is relative. It is not a matter of how many women are in a science field, it is about lower salaries and juggling family and career that women in science have to face. One of the issues that she discussed was the biological clock that she is dealing with while trying to work hard to get tenure. That issue is not something that a male in a science field has to deal with. Her last statement sums up the struggle..."This is a big deal"

    • You guys did a great job. Anne is an amazing person and I am proud of you for taking this little known or talked about subject and bringing it into a new light. It is an issue that truly needs to be addressed. The bigotry that still goes on in the academic field in this so-called "modern" day and age is astounding...

I was there with you guys for much of the filming and editing process, you all worked very hard and I can truly say that it has payed off.

I love you hun (Erik)...Handsome, funny, compassionate AND talented, how did I get so lucky? =)
