GreenpeaceOffshore Oil = Increased Risk for Polar Bears
Polar bears are hanging on for dear life. They are faced with a rapidly shrinking arctic environment due to global warming. And now the Senate is poised to drive another nail in polar bears' coffins by voting for more drilling off of America's shores.
More oil drilling will do nothing to lower gas prices. It will, however, increase global warming pollution and put the polar bear on an even faster track towards extinction. To solve our dead-end dependence on fossil fuels we need legislation that immediately ends the massive tax breaks for Big Oil; doubles the average fuel efficiency of existing cars to at least 50 miles per gallon; substantially invests in public transportation so people have more and better choices; and provides robust incentives for renewable energy investments to transition us to a clean energy future.
Tell your Senator today! A vote to protect our coastal waters from more drilling is a vote the polar bears desperately need right now.

Bears are white fluffy and viscious killers who will not hesitate to eat you, your dog, cat or children. they have two cubs every year , and quickly out strap their environment devouring white fluffy baby seals with abandon. protecting polar bears too much throws the eco system out of balance. ask the eskimos.

"Polar Bears are the most important animal in the world, not the MOST IMPORTANT THING IN THE WORLD..."
Dude! i'M right there with you!
In fact...
I myself am totally obsessed with them.
I have 44 polar bear sculptures in my apartment, and no more will fit.
I have a polar bear calendar for each year or my life, well except the first four when my parents didn't know I loved those bears..."I polar bears." Is written on the shirt I am wearing RIGHT NOW.
Yeah Really. They are Cool bears.

The State of Alaska permits offshore oil drilling right to the arctic shore, where polar bears den, give birth, and feed. There are no offsets in polar bear habitat. Written from Kaktovik, Alaska, where we are filming a starved, lifeless, dying polar bear.

Bear population is at a High, these Oil plants will be like at more than 100km from Shore and have no direct impact on Polar bears. Global Warming does and has to be tackled by using Fuel effective vehicles and conscience, not by Increasing the Oil price and replacing oil with food supplies which cause hunger and death by increasing food Prices!

Sorry, Polar bears are not above Human Life, like PETA loves to think for their own convenience.

But bears are all like white and fluffy and they are adorable when they swim in the water trying to catch seals. Gotta love animal planet and discovery.

Listen, I'm not for drilling. Let's get some facts straight. These rigs are well regulated by the gov't and produce less pollution than a single car ever will.
Our problem is with CO2 emissions. Reduce that. It matters not how much or little oil we have.
ArcticSpirit, whether the bears are in trouble now or later is of no consequence. Reduction of the polar caps is going to be a problem. With that change will come problems with the eco system globally. Don't stick your head in the sand like an.......ostrich(sorry for the animal comparison, couldn't help it).

i heard reports(australia has had coldest winter in 60 years) that we are "in danger " of global cooling , because apperently co2 causes both warming and cooling... i'm not buying it ... but then again i'm logical and not retarted...(no offence to those with acctually mental conditions other than being a dupe)
