they are using wood chips and waste, and its applyable to general cellulostic generation

I think this is a great idea, though... Wouldn't using wood as our fuel source only add to the problem that we're facing with the consumption of trees and our rain forests...?

I don't really understand why we would take trees and convert them into gas. Yes, significantly lower CO2 release, but still we need to be focusing on becoming fossil fuel independent. This pod, however, does help get the word out--we are stupid to not look around our homeland and spend a little time using our brains to figure out viable solutions and not our bank accounts. Go green!

check this one out as well ..
Trees are probably a dumb source maybe if they make it from sawdust == but its better to make building materials from the sawdust.
THey should really try the tobacco or Hemp

The segment claimed a $30 per barrel price for the biomass "oil", yet the man in the interview said we wouldn't even know the gas we will someday put in our cars is from biomass. Either they need to clean up this pod or they're already planning to gouge us with the new bio-fuels.

Thought-provoking....this is really fascinating, but begs for a much more thorough investigation.
What are the problems with this process? Could this solve our fuel pricing woes? Could we create enough fuel from waste crops, like corn husks etc., or would we have to grow trees specifically for this purpose?
I can also understand why those concerned about climate change wouldn't be in love with this idea...
