The remains of a 9,000 year old mother and child, dug up in Israel, are believed to be the earliest human evidence that TB existed.
The bones were excavated from Alit-Yam, which is an ancient Neolithic village near Haifa, which has been submerged in the Mediterranean for thousands of years.
Experts at The University College London and Tel-Aviv have used DNA technology to confirm the bacteria.
There has been other evidence that suggest TB was around 500,000 years ago but this has not been proven.
