Here's the list i've left friends and family.
Step one. Drag my dead ass to the wilderness
Step two. Dig hole
Step three. Bury my dead ass and let decomposition take it's course.

In each of the past four or five generations of my family, the women have tended to have children very young. For example, my mother was 17 when she had me, and her mother was 15 when she gave birth to my mother.
The end result was that unlike most people, I was able to know the members of my family going all the way back to Great-Grandparents well into my adulthood (in fact, I had three Great-Great Grandparents still living when I was a small child). One of the issues that has come up time and time again over the past 20 years has been this precise one -- what were their wishes for the disposal of their bodies at death.
On a matter that personal, I felt that giving them advice would have been disrespectful unless they explicity asked for my opinion. What was fascinating to me, though, was that despite the fact that previous generations had all been buried, every single one of my great-grandparents and grandparents eventually came to the personal conclusion that cremation was what they wanted. These were all intelligent people with good values whom I admired greatly. I have not yet specified my own disposal, but I can't help feeling inclined to take that same path if all these fine people felt it was appropriate. Yeah, I know, FASCINATING story zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

Word, I think the way we deal with death can be very unnatural! Bury me under a tree, no chemicals, no nonsense!

The polar opposite of buying a casket from Cosco.
You don't need to protect a person from there origin,
Though Taxidermy is an option. Put em' on the mantle
If you don't want them to become a part of the Earth
Again!

I did a whole class presentation for green burials in my comm class. I only hope I made some sort of impact on the cognitive recognition of responsibly handling the death of you or your loved ones.
