Education time children (and I am not talking to the "children" wink wink) The bible was compiled by Constantine nearly 75 years after the death of Jesus, who for all intentions was guilty of no crime, yet it was the Philistines who go by the title Christians in modern day, who shouted "Give us Barabas, a petty thief"), His followers to this day, still can't take responsibility for that act of hatred, and would rather believe a mythical and only once event in recorded history of a murdered innocent was able to die and in 3 days rise up again and be with a so called father who has a complex with any other being as big as him, yet according to the story in the so called holy scripture, a 2000 year old book of assorted fairy tales and mythical events this omnipitent being is all knowing, all wise and loving, but can't accept no one else is as good as him, a guy who does not recognize male nor female yet recognized a young bride who he somehow did the nasty without the naughty to create a baby who would grow up until age 13, then disappear from recorded history and reappear at age 33, just so it could be recorded that he should die for these same christians and all the wrongs they do in their lives so when they really do kick the bucket, the same twisted father would let them into a cloud-like compound where some people have wings, some have gold rings hovering over there heads and some have stringed instruments, oh yes and naked little cute toddlers who for whatever reason, are always smiling, but I digress, so as I was saying Constantine who could be called president of his time, decided to create a book from various texts, writings, stories and life lesson quotes into one book, which could be used to unify his constituents and give validity to obedience is a god-like duty of his constituents. As it turns out, in England many, many, years later, a gay guy whose title of King named James added his spin to this fairy tale book, thus you have a version by King James, which for some reason became to be the modern day christians favorite book on the shelf. Although, many other writing, texts, historic finds, revelations, and word of mouth stories exist, this one book, emphasis on the one and only, is representative of the words from the guy who is everywhere and sees everything but was only seen by old white painter in Italy. As for the catholics, whose representatives don't choose their job but get an imaginary call from an unknown source, and follow one guy in a big gown and fancy hats, and who don't do the nasty, but little boys & girls make them feel naughty too easily, can't except that Jesus who dies already once, is bound to do it again, but this time everybody goes within up to the cloud compound. So if many many years later, if gays want to amend this version from a gay King James, I say it's about time for publishing a new edition of this book of fairy tales and poems. Just don't expect anyone to ask for the movie rights or to use the old version of the glossary, new words, new world, new languages just the same old story with a smiley face on the cover, Amen

Just another way of Changing things, next it will be in the Constitution, being Gay I feel is inherited in a persons' genes or possible DNA, who really knows, I do believe in the majority in any issue is supposed to accept the issue and stated in the majority, it's person private matters that should be regonized, but not imposed on the majority, this would change the way we vote and many other things dealing with laws and how they are interpreted.

When the hell are Christians not mad at someone or something? They have to be worst religion of all time. When other religion are to teach peace,(Buddhist just to name one) all they talk about is: "The end is come" or "your go to hell for not believing in there God." ects. Religious tolerance doesn't limit itself to the things YOU are tolerant to.

you may be surprised, but there are many cultures in the world that are offended by Christians. Wow. maybe Christianity shouldn't exist since it's so offensive.

Everyone should be entitled to their own religious beliefs and study whatever book they want, if this is what makes them happy then why not. They aren't judging your bible, and furthermore it's all fiction to me. Nothing in that book can be proven true it's all just a bunch of stories everyone needs to stop taking so literally.

It is a bit of a silly way to spend your time (creating this book... or reading it for that matter) but it's probably harmless in that it doesn't seem like it's setting out to insult Christians. Having said that, it probably doesn't do any favours for the gay community, what with it perpetuating stereotypes and all.

You asked for facts to "prove" there is a God. Facts are really also subject to interpretation....witness....we once considered it "fact" that the world was flat, and we could prove it! Also that the Sun revolved around the Earth - that was fact, right? Similarly, I remember learning that dinosaurs were lizards, when now we believe they may have been the ancestors of birds. And several things I was taught in college as fact have now been upended as well.....my point? Twofold. One is that human beings need to be able to think outside of "facts" if we are to continue to grow and develop. A person could probably prove mathematically or empirically that there is a God, and an atheist could prove equally well there isn't. So maybe the answer lies in our ability to think, to feel, to empathize, to create, and to think outside the box. Faith is a necessary thing. Call it intuition if that word is more palatable to you. And where does that creativity, that intuition come from? As far as I can tell, God. Though If we step on that part of each other, if we try to simply live according to "facts", we lose something valuable in the process - whether you believe in God or not, that statement would seem factual to me. The other point? Yeah, there's a God. I'm not Him (or Her). LOL

There are so many comments for this story already, I'm just going to say I think it's awesome that they are doing this. People have changed the bible and its interpretation to meet their needs for years and years. This is actually a interpretation I'm more than happy to see.

If gay is your way, that's okay.

OK, there are limits. Gays should have the right to live their lives without people hating them for it, or telling them what to believe. But that courtesy has to apply to everyone, or else it's just more hypocrisy. Leave people's holy texts ALONE. That applies to the Bible, the Koran, the Talmud, whatever.

The argument is less against religion than it is against science.

The reason sex was designed to feel good was to cause reproduction, but apparently that simple logic escapes many in these types of arguments.

I think that this Gay Bible is completely ridiculous. I mean seriously we are not talking religion here we are talking about changing the basic foundations of not just the written word of god but changing our history here.

I noticed in other peoples comments they talked about translations, and interpretations. And that each person gets a different interpretation out of something when they read it. But also when you translate something from one language to the other everything may or may not get translated exactly.

But there is no way of confusing what is going on, these people writing this book are not translating it to get a better understanding.

There is no way in this life time or any that we can even interpret the BIBLE to mean anything other then that god created MAN AND WOMAN.

To take his word and make it so that you feel comfortable with your own lifestyle is completely wrong. To take any truth and create it so that your life, which is built on uncleanliness, will seem write to another. Is completely wrong.

And to take the Bible. The word of God. A book that has been a best seller since it came out, for a reason by the way. To make it your own whether it be a bible that says being gay is okay, or that sin is okay, or that murder is okay is wrong.

We as American, we as human beings, we as people that were Made by GOD, in the image of GOD, if we allow this kind of behavior to go on we are going to most certainly perish. God is going to come back looking for a people without a spot or wrinkle.

What is really sad to me is that this country was founded on Christianity. The belief in Christ. And now we are making a mockery of it. God gave us free will, God allowed us to find America, and make it a land for people to come to so that they could be free of religious persecution and beable to serve him freely. And this is how we pay him back.

Whoa to the man that says this is okay. I will certainly pray tonight that all my sins are forgiven that I may from this day forward lead a christian walk. Because they day we get to the point that we take a blasphemous act and try to turn it into Bible truths. Is the day I believe that Christ is coming back.
