A group of global peace activists have organised a worldwide, simultaneous orgasm as a way of affecting peace and reducing tension across the globe.

That's right, a giant, synchronised orgasm.

Despite a shred of evidence to prove it has any effect whatsoever, the second annual Global Orgasm for Peace takes place on Saturday, December 21st (5.08pm AEDT, for those interested), and is aimed at "effecting positive change in the energy field of the Earth through input of the largest possible instantaneous surge of human biological, mental and spiritual energy."

But organisers offer the following warning to those interested in taking part: ''Remember, over-population (6.8 billions people and counting) is a major cause of 'peak everything,' so please don't make more babies in the Global-O."

    • Take the time money effory and awareness and try to build a muslim faith school along the pakistan/ afghan region and churn out real faith driven muslims.

    • It says it's the second Global Orgasm for Peace. What happened after the first one? Why wasn't the first event good enough? Did too many people fake it or something?

      Also, they've been very precise with the time (6:08pm GMT). I'll be honest, that's a lot of pressure for a person.

      If that is all you can focus on is your own gratification then that is what you'll get.

      But the whole point of the Global O is to focus the enery in orgasm on a lot more than just yourself.

      As Ken Wilber mentions in the video you can have sex with the awareness at different stages of development.

      The Global O is a start in getting the energy together in being able to desire and believe that World Peace is possible. Don't make the mistake that it is all there is to it since action is still needed but unless a lot of people believe that it is possible then that action will never be taken.

      That date works for me; its our bi-annual time anyway. What the hell....a few Grey Goose Martinis with lots of olive juice, some "Earthy, Peaceful music" after dinner, and whoa! By then it should be time for O'Reilly or a football game so "game over". ME? back to my yummy martinis. PEACE!

    • actually there is plenty of research evidence to suggest that when large groups of humans are focused on the same thing there is a change in the make-up of the universe. Princeton University has been studying the phenomenon and has shown that "random number generators" that are placed around the world are more likely to register patterns during times of global connectedness (i.e. 9-11, Olympics, inauguration, world cup...)

      when we all focus on one event or idea we puncture the "noosphere." an outpouring of blissful orgasms could sure brighten my day! :)

      There was a summit of religious leaders in Washington DC back a long while ago in which they prayed for peace for a continuous week long period, and the crime rate dropped to nothing during that period.

      There may be something to it after all.

      I did the experiement in 2006 and although not completely verifiable some of the evidence was suggestive.

      I had heard the news about the Global Orgasm Day in November so I had a little more than a month to plan. Besides doing, graphic designs, videos and blogs for the event, my wife and I booked a hotel room in the local Indian Casino called The Gold County on the night of 12/22/06.

      The room had a very big bathroom with a jacuzzi tub in it and a large shower much more than we had

      We lay there for a while basking in the transcendent bliss and bathing in the peace of love feeling at one with the universe. Then we went down to the casino and all the people there were having a great time. I joked with the blackjack dealers while we played about how they were winning back all the land they had lost one bet at a time and asked if her Indian name was "Sits with a Full House" the people there did seem a lot more peaceful and happy than I had seen them before so I think that the energy of the Global Orgasm was having an effect.

      I ended up winning $3250 so that not only paid for our stay at the hotel, but also for our whole Xmas. That's pretty good proof to me.

      I figured a personal account would be more meaningful since the Princeton measurements in the rise of the field and the historic election that followed were a bit more generalized and abstract.

      All of that evidence does tend to lend credence to the theory andsupports the continuation of the effort and energy put into the Global O for more cummulative postive effects to grow larger.
