British team discovers lost Eden amid forgotten forest in Mozambique

No ones paved it over and turned it into a walmart yet, they still have to decsimate Alaska and the rest of the Amazon before they could have a chance to rape this land.

Right now is a time of science and discovery, that's the cool part... the rape comes later.

BTW.... if u read the article they went to this forest in order to conserve it. Its under threat from local agencies who would use it for logging/ farming/ war.

also, the article mentions nothing about " scouting for a logging company" as someone above claimed.

also, i hope there's some Congo-esque massacre in there with some sort of prehistoric beast eating it's fill of the human invaders.

This lost eden should be protected at all costs, and should not happen like all the other lost places that are now found and are being destroyed by oil and logging companies...do not take advantage of the environment, but take care of it...

It's not the scientists I'm worried about- this forest becoming a "research lab" is the least of our problems because scientists will take specimens to THEIR labs (like they have) to study them. It's corporations that should concern us- someone needs to slap a "protected" label on this place real quick!

Very cool. I hope to see some interesting things like this when I go visit my friend there in 2010. But I guess It all depends If mankind has destroyed it by then....

This is magnificent, but like others have already said; it is a dread to know that this forest might become a new research lab. But for the forests sake, I hope that it gets protected and that we do not taint it.

it is amazing to me that there are parts of the world that are still unexplored and unknown to the world at large. its very cool to know that there are still more frontiers and adventures for human kind to have and explore

Amazing that in 2008 there are still places unspoiled by modern man. This lost Eden should be protected and cherished.

Exploiting it isn't a good idea we should conserve it and plus how can someone be credited for finding a forest that google and local villagers new about? Hopefully the forest will be unharmed....because i don't really think we need more human interference where it isn't needed.
