According to research, women who are in love can recognize their partner's scent from a stranger's scent but not their male friend's scent from a stranger's (they do not have any problems recognizing their female friend's scents).

In this study 20 women were asked to fill out a Passionate Love Scale questionnaire (click on the link in the article to take a look at the questionnaire). Then their boyfriend, male friends, and lady friends were asked to sleep in a cotton t-shirt with pads sewn into the armpits (to soak up sweat) for seven nights.

The score on the Passionate Love Scale questionnaire made no difference in the women's ability to recognize their lover's t-shirt or female friend's t-shirt from a stranger's. However, the deeper in love the woman was, the harder it was for her to recognize the t-shirt of a male friend.

Well now isn't that something.
