I've been reading a few articles about this lately, especially in regard to solar activity being the cause. The climate has always changed, it was apparently hotter in the 1930s than the 1990s and scientists were apparently 'alarmed' at the possibility of an ice age back in the 1970s. I've opened a debate on Cooler Planet which I hope will generate some interest.
