Trees that actually walk!

However slowly it may be, the Socratea Exorrhiza, can walk! Native to the rain forests of Central and South America, this member of the palm family has a trunk above the soil and rests upon its roots. To survive and flourish, this tree grows new roots, plating them toward more nutrient soil and letting the old roots die off. Hence, the tree walks at a snail's pace.
