I can't nap I'm a zombie for the rest of the day. I probably would be an exception to the study.

Another good point about napping is that most people don't realize just how productive you can be while napping. I typically work at a slower rate while napping, but I'm still able to get simple tasks accomplished. For instance, I'm asleep right now at my desk and dreaming about a bean burrito with guacamole.

Naptime for everyone! Seriously though--why not? 15 or 20 minutes out of your day for a nap isn't going to dramatically reduce productivity; most people spend far more time than that doing all sorts of random stuff. So why is napping taboo?

One random day during nap time I mooned everyone in my kindergarten class. Just thought I would share that with the current world for funzeeees!

Nah napping doesn't work for me, it just makes me more tired and grumpy. Never good. I like how they say "find a safe place"... like not in a train station or abadoned warehouse or something.

I've fallen asleep while driving down the highway, and woke up in the middle of a big sweeping turn. I didn't even drift out of my lane.

Interesting article and so true.
But why can't authors specifically cite sources instead of just saying "one study last year"? If you can't verify the legitimacy of the study, citing it doesn't really mean anything. - 3 years ago

When I nap for about ten to fifteen minutes 4 times a day I can get my REM sleep in three hours at night...

I miss nap times, but not having had them for years means that whenever I try these days I end up waking up five hours later or early the next day, feeling very overslept.. sleeping in the day just reminds me of being ill or jetlagged these days.
that monkey in the illustration at the bottom does look so comfortable though... *yawn*

I've always been a big proponent of nap-time. Why do we only get naps when we're in pre-school? I think productivity would see a hefty increase if nap-time was introduced in the workplace.
