      The answer to that is, yes.
      What organized religion doesn't try to keep women in their, so-called place?
      All of them do. And it's not for "protection" it's for subjugation.
      Male ego is very powerful and fragile. Women are notably stronger than men, and it has always threatened them. That is why we have religions that were written by males who made sure they inserted how women were to be treated into the texts.
      Then along came interpretations of the writings, and you have women being stoned for talking to a man or being locked in a room for 2 years because she dared to defy the church.

      You are trying to educate people in your religion...that is good. But your god is just as the others' god(s).
      As unimatrix says, "figments of the collective imagination"

    • Agreed: the god of abraham (a figment of the collective imagination) is a misogynist.

      You want to claim that the misogyny of Islam is not as bad as Xians or practicing Jews. Yet the facts belie that point. If you are making an apology for Islam's treatment of women, I am not sympathetic.

      However, I reject the god that seems to premise your whole argument.
