Shadia and I give a quick run-down of the current banner and placard messages our media team is thinking about for the Capitol Climate Action (CCA) - www.capitolclimateaction.org . Civil Disobedience is not our message - its just the vehicle through which we communicate what we want in the world. The point of "messaging" is to frame an issue for the general public.
Our demonstration will loudly offer urgency around these messages, which will give political leverage to our allies who that same day will be organizing many thousands of young people to lobby congress with clear policy asks around creating millions of green jobs that offer pathways out of poverty, a coal moratorium now, a carbon cap, investments in clean energy and other things that will help bring about a better world.
