(02-26) 20:00 PST San Francisco -- U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is sending strong signals that President Obama - who as a candidate said states should be allowed to make their own rules on medical marijuana - will end raids on pot dispensaries in California.

    • President Obama could change things with the stroke of a pen. He could remove cannabis hemp from the Dangerous Substance List and let the conversation begin.

I 'hope' President Obama opens the conversation, where people can talk about the benefits of cannabis hemp without fear of incarceration. The war on drugs has been a disaster, for the benefit of corporate America and pharmaceutical companies. Many of the same corporations who have outsourced our jobs and our way of life.

It's time for ordinary Americans to find their voices and stand up for the change we need. Spinning distortion should not be allowed. Cannabis hemp has undeniable history. Truth should win, over spin.

    • This is an encouraging report, but I don't think it's as certain as the tile makes it sound.

Sending signals doesn't mean it's as good as done. He was very vague in his answers.

Let's hope they mean what we think they mean!
