So sad that people WILL not allow themselves to be sensitive to whats happening. People like to believe what they're told.

The sound on my computer is out for the moment, so I didn't get to listen to your piece. I apologize for that, and I hope what I write isn't totally off topic, but from reading the responses, I might have a good add.
If you are talking about the movement of Chi or Qi in the body that is still used in traditional Chinese medicine. There are greater and lesser Chakras.
Something slightly different is used in Japan, and now here in the USA.
I have had patients experience what someone could feel as a "religious experience" during a Reiki healing session.
I have been certified in Reiki for several years.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."
A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.
Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.
Sadly when I try to do this on myself, I seem to pass out, I go to sleep. So the healer here cannot heal herself. What a crazy world this is. But I am a Christian and I do pray. And that seems to be a help for me.

As above, so below. - Hermes Trismegistus.
Mysticism is valid, but even more so, when it stops cloaking itself in scientific jargon.
Science is good. Mysticism is good. But separate, though they chase God from different directions, never able to quite reach that ultimate goal.

Very interesting. I can see the corolation between this and science, in that our spiritual level of consciousness surely influences the physical world and our ability to influence it for either good or evil. Would you say other past civilizations had reached this higher level of consciousness which then opened them up to discovering scientific advancements that we are simply rediscovering? Who would you say were the greatest world leaders and known people who attained this level of consciousness? I am sure Gandhi did. Would you say DaVinci did?

Mysticism is the pursuit of communion with, identity with, or conscious awareness of an ultimate reality, divinity, spiritual truth, or God through direct experience, intuition, or insight. Mysticism usually centers on a practice or practices intended to nurture that experience or awareness. Mysticism may be dualistic, maintaining a distinction between the self and the divine, or may be non-dualistic. Differing religious traditions have described this fundamental mystical experience in different ways.......
The information in this video is a synthesis of Science and mysticism..... The Chakra system, which is a system comprised of centers of ''power'' located in different places throughout the body, integrated into our anatomical systems, Anatomy is science,right?....sigh.. The chakras produce electromagnetic fluctuations when activated, this affects the neurological systems of the body in positive ways, neurology is science right?......So um, sigh.......you basically just don't understand the information...Like I said,,,it's okay to admit you don't understand the information..... you could also classify this as metaphysics...:)

Mobius2012:
This is not science. It does not use the scientific method, use scientific rigor, or hold up to objective inquiry. Science is supported by physical evidence, makes physical predictions, checks physical predictions, and makes laws that are not subjective. What you describe does none of these things. Using scientific terminology doesn't make it science.
Then there are the pseudo-sciences like psychology and sociology that collect data and try to follow the scientific method, but they make no laws and are unable to make universal predictions. This is not even real science.
And then you have this . . .
This doesn't begin to provide any data, anything that is testable, and it's purely subjective to an individual's experience.
Furthermore, you described it as metaphysical . . . which by definition puts it entirely outside of science. Science only deals with the physical universe. That alone is case closed.
You may fancy this to be science, but you are wrong. It is not, at all, in any way. This is as bad as scientology.

Thats wonderful, I commend you :). I myself am a practioner, although I use various techniques to arouse and guide and utilize what I term as Prana energy, but its all the same :) Prana in vedantics is defined as ''Breath'' or vital Force energy. I use Tai Chi Gong and other simple breathing and visualization methods to harness it. Ah Yes, I have found that to be connected with the life force is exhilerating and beneficial on all levels...Hey, I've been experiencing quite a profound sensation up my spine, and I have discovered that this what the mystics refer to as Kundalini, I've done exstensive research on it, Amazing! Are you familiar with it?

There's a word for what we had before science and spirituality were separated. It's called mysticism, and that's what this is.
And mysticism is the perpetuated ignorance to the objective evidence of the world.
Sorry, but this is rotting garbage and no sir, i will not eat it.

actually, I have. I even attended Buddhist temple with an old girlfriend years ago for little more than a month.
I like and respect most of the philosophy in Buddhism, though the chanting and clapping of wooden blocks didn't do anything for me. To be honest I felt quite silly.
My biggest grievance is that I found Buddhism to be counter-evolutionary. Desires can be a powerful stimulus for growth. Anywho, I disregarded the 8fold path and took up my own.
There's a TED talk that I think you may like, I personally find it to be on the sappy side, but it's of a neuroscientist describing what it felt like to have a stroke . . . from which she describes Nirvana, quite passionately.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UyyjU8fzEYU
(all of the TED talks are worth watching imo)I'm pretty sure you won't see the same thing I saw, as we apparently view the world through very different lenses.
I took away from the video what "reaching enlightenment" actually means. From which, I think I understand that it means completely turning off an entire part of the brain, specifically the part required for analysis.
Enlightenment might make a nice place to visit for relaxation, but to live there perpetually is quite literally playing with half a deck.
But don't take my word for it, watch it for yourself.

Your narrow definition of the word science is expected.....The western scientific curriculum is designed to dichotomize Science and spirituality....So, i understand that you don't understand. Don't be shy to say you don't get it LOL

Interesting theme and post M2012! People achieve some of these spiritual goals from different directions. With all the information that is available to them today, still people have a problem to recognize what is right and wrong and take an action against the wrongs. I wonder why?
