Peering more than 100 million light-years across the universe, the Hubble Space Telescope caught three galaxies interacting, which is an astronomer's euphemism for a gravitational struggle of colossal proportions. The three galaxies—NGC 7173 (left), NGC 7174 (center right) and NGC 7176 (lower right)—are locked in a battle for supremacy that may result in NGC 7174 being torn to shreds. The three galaxies may also someday merge into a single massive entity.
