The time has finally come, and Current has it's very own team on Carbon Rally! Check out the blog post for more details...and then come on back and declare your favorite motto (or create one for me to add to the list)! Next Wednesday I'll pick the one that has the most votes and make it our official team motto....Your options are...

    • I like Livin the Green but it looks like it is really a Green Media Machine...... And to all those out there working on it. Just do what you can and thats the best. Peer pressure is not going to help YOU. Only you know what you can live with and what you can't. I have lived without electriciy for 30 years and still do. Now I have Solar. There is nothing like electric light for reading or projects at night.!!! And Hot running water out of the tap at any time of day is a luxury!! Most people just don't see the miracle. Love Izzy

    • Why am I one of the few who REALLLLLLLY likes the motto "I see green people?!?" It's a slice of pop culture but with a relevant green twist. Current visitors from all of the world will get it because the movie reference crossed all cultural boundaries.

      Green Media Machine is okay but kind of ho-hum...and I think that you probably want to go with a name that will really stick in peoples' brains!

    • i am a single mother and against all odds i have gotten rid of my car and I manage to get to work and school without it for one year. it saves me a lot of money and i am saving the environment at the same time...both me and my daughter are vegetarians..i am trying to be vegan and eat raw as much as possible...these are all small things that make a big difference...and slowly i have been changing my family's point of view...they watch me give up luxuries so i can be green...at first they make fun of me but now after two years of fighting them they have been following my example!! YAY!!!

      man, terrapin station, that brings back memories of freshman year of college at UMD.... Penny draft beers and dollar pitchers. And this was in '99... one of the craziest college bars ever.

      "Currently Conscious" is cool because alliteration is awesome, but it has too much of a "fad" connotation to it. "Currently? Why not always?"

    • I try. I recycle. Other people around me don't. I have to take aluminum cans out of the trash in my own home. Most people don't get it.

      as long as it is hip i don't give a crap.

      Jan do you still think of me when you turn on your light switch, or cool your home in the summer.

      I challenge you mo-mo's to go the summer without a/c, and while your at it tell your 70 yro, grandparents not to cool thier houses at night either.

      Summer without a/c, cake. My house doesn't even have the option, it is built with adobe, so it's warm in the winter, cool in the summer even when it's 95 outside. I don't have a car, don't need one.

    • Ok, well, even though I stated before that I find the term Green to be a bit gimmicky (just being honest ;-),) I still want to help out, because well, I love Current anyway ;-). If I had to vote for one above I actually would pick Currently Conscious, but if you want one with the word green, "The Green Scene" comes to mind. Hope that helps.
