How To Generate Good Karma

retro_Syl
“Karma is an idea that exists in the Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, and Sikh religions, which simply holds that all actions have consequences. In other words: karma’s not a bitch, but you might be. If so, here’s how to start sending the world good vibrations.”

hope this does for all of you, what it did for me. ;)

    • that girl looked like she was doing everything so begrudgingly, isn't the idea to actually want to do good things for people?

I totally agree on that perception. She does not do a great job of displaying satisfaction in upholding a character with respect to Karma. Its as if she does the physical act while her soul mourns inside for her to behave differently. But done right, someone that keeps Karma in mind can find satisfaction out of life. I just don't know about a cubicle-working, late-night-tv-watching, middle-aged-virgin, self-help-book-reading, anti-depressant-addict will really appreciate the concepts involved :P

    • I'm amazed this hasn't been gone after by the atheist crowd yet. This is technically a religious belief. Makes me wonder how many "atheists" are just anti christian.

um thats a good point to bring up, so let me project my theory; though I am not an athiest, I could understand why anyone would be going up against Christianity in times like this where many people seek the freedom of not having other people's interpretation of reality imposed on them. You can go ahead and label Karma a religious belief, but at the end of the day, I don't see any "Karma believers" telling others who they can or cannot marry, what a woman can do with her body, or restricting the field of science as not to discredit their own teachings. I hope I was of some help. Namaste ;)

    • hehe, chocolate for karma. cavities are good for you! ^_^

although, when i do things that could be speculated to produce good karma, such as a generous tip to a crying waitress just to see her smile, i try my best to do these things not to make me feel good, but to makes others feel good and improves the world around me. maybe not a global scale, but i'd like to naively believe that enough kind acts to people will have a butterfly effect. can't hurt, anyway.
