    • I believe the American economy has about half a trillion in circulation at any given time and about 12 trillion has been guaranteed by the federal government. both bush and obama. I've also read that the half the worlds population survives on 2.50 cents a day and if we had over 100Billion donated to solving starvation, poverty , and health issues we could get these nations into second and maybe some new first world countries. Its not as hard as one may think. We built this society, We can build the world!

Just not so much consumption. Too much in this country.

If we took a trillion from one percent of our population that seems to have about five trillion do we could feed the world? Do you think the one percent of the population would miss that money? Would their life change?

    • This is a great message, it is easy to focus on what is negative in regards to an issue, but it takes real courage to focus on the positive!

    • Hat's off on the post Current89!

Through it I was reminded that it is not an easy path getting a nation of fuel consumers to actively consider energy conservation as part of their daily ritual.

And really, many of the strides Obama is taking considers convincing the majority to think of major issues in a 'radically' different light.

Small positive changes are better than stagnancy. I'm glad to see we're finally headed in the right direction concerning these polarizing topics .

Thank you world. Thank you American public. Thank you Obama.

      Hat's off.

    • bishopobispo:

      Reading fail on my end.

Tell me, does the fail 'tag' mean this article should be posted under Current Comedy as well? Anyone familiar with the usual titles normally posted to that section has to be feeling me here.

Thanks Current for the forward and I'm throwing a bow to you Stephen for the post.

      Much respect.
