100% Recycled TP Is A Walk In The Park Compared To History's Alternatives

Let's face it. We're all a bunch of spoiled, whiny babies. One hundred percent recycled paper content TP isn't all that bad considering what the alternatives were just a couple of thousand years ago. If our predecessors managed with nothing more than chunks of earth and pine needles, how hard can it be for us to get accustomed to less lofty, bouncy rolls of tree-hugging goodness? It's getting flushed down the toilet anyway...

    • Impressive. I didn't know the ancient Romans used a salt water soaked sponge to wipe up after (ahem)..themselves. With the natural antibacterial properties of salt water, that's actually seems a step up from the raw chlorinated factory paper (impregnated with highly toxic dioxins) that most Westerners use today.
For that matter, even the Scots and Vikings may have had a comfortable alternative---if only one could have an endless supply of clean excess sheep's wool at hand.
Impeccable Asian's are aghast that crude westerners don't wash completely after every event.
The Japanese Toto Kiko toilet has automated this function with temperature controlled water jets, and an optional spray of perfume....

I didn't realize that salt water is antibacterial...makes one wonder why we haven't been using it all along rather than chemical preparations like "Purel". Maybe it's a little drying? Salt does draw moisture out of foods, so maybe it could cause unintentional chapping?

    • Lots of industrial institutions are using 100 percent recycled paper toilet tissue. It gets the job done.
It's like John Wayne, rough, tough, and doesn't take shit of nobody. But it does get the job done.
