Vitamin C - Episode 38 - 'Useless Terminology"

gtowna
"Green." "Low carbon." "Resource sensitive." "Low-impact development." "Beyond compliance." All of them meaningless terms used interchangably by the environmental movement to refer to various aspects of the climate crusade, but which -- independently -- are pitiful calls to action. Try saying something "green" at a cocktail party, and prepare for an outbreak of the yawns. Being "green" is like air -- you don't notice it until you've got none to inhale. So what revamped hipster enviro-term can possibly cause people to change their overconsuming ways? That's the subject of today's cast, and thank you again for watching.
