Environmental advocate and Special Advisor for Green Jobs to the White House Van Jones resigned from office following controversies over a petition he had signed and his comments about Republicans.
He was a vocal proponent American Clean Energy And Security Act H.R. 2454, otherwise known as "cap and trade", which passed in the House in June. The bill has moved on to the Senate, but without it's charismatic front man- does it stand a chance?
I talked to Jones this summer about the importance of the bill and the administration’s dedication to environmentalism.
We shouldn’t throw out the baby with the bathwater- or in our case the vision with the visionary.
