Glenn Beck Tries to Muckrake on Climate Bill, Fails

Glenn Beck officially has no idea what he is talking about (again). The confidential Treasury memos Beck refers to in the following video — memos that say the Waxman-Markey cap and trade bill (American Clean Energy and Security Act) would have allegedly cost $1,761 per household annually — do not address the current House climate change bill, but rather, a proposal that would have auctioned 100 percent of the emissions allowances. The bill under consideration actually spends revenue created by the program to offset costs to households and businesses. In other words, that estimate is based on bill language that never made it into the bill...

    • "News people" should have to wear a shock collar on their privates and they should get shocked live on the news every time they have an epic fail fabrication like this. A good 10 minute electron therapy session might make them more careful about checking their facts in the future. This would go for ALL news people, then we might actually know what's really going on.
