    • Toyota says that his prius can run up to 2km (1,25miles). In normal conditions(normal world) it is about 1.5km (1mile). I can't check ford fusion because its not avaiable in my country :[ but hybrid cars are my intrustin area:]. So I asked you about a range in ev mode for fusion hybrid in normal conditions. You have tested this car so you know about these cases. So let me know. How far did u go this car in EV mode in normal road conditions, rough flat land, and speed about 35-40mph and full batery charge until gas engine starts. thx

      There's theory and then there's real world. Is it a perfectly flat road at 45 MPH with no traffic with the batteries at full charge?

      No doubt your '80 Civic was a whole lot lighter than today's cars, with less safety equipment and all the other stuff we've come to expect in a modern vehicle. The engine in a Civic of that vintage put out somewhere between 50 and 70 horsepower. Less weight + Less horsepower = Better mileage ...
