Ok, I have to admit, I failed to keep up on my schedule here but it's been the beginning of the holiday season and I had to stop and give thanks for an awesome year. That being said - I'm digging the photos on here. I really like Cape Breton's shot of Nova Scotia with the road. I love a human element that isn't front and center frame but still marks the beauty of the landscape and draws you in. Nettle really went after it with a bunch of photos - my favorite is the waterfall. Try and shoot images at different times of day - evenings and mornings - same subject matter and see what you get. You'll probably notice some cool colors. Leah - I'm always a bit partial to Alaska you can't go wrong or take a bad photo in that place but it's great you have people and glaciers in the shot which really give a nice sense of scale. All in all - good stuff!

Thanks Beth - I'm a member of both and a major advocate of the work ILCP is doing.

students from christopher newport university in virginia do post-fire regeneration studies on the success of the endangered atlantic white cedar population; this species of trees previously thrived in the dismal but due to the destruction of hurricane katrina and the natural wildfires of north carolina the population has drastically been affected

NATURE... IT'S PRECIOUS!
Looking at nature with new eyes can reveal a lot about our intimate connection with it. It's a right-brain, emotional, gut-brain connection that can be more motivating than any mental conviction...
