Thorium is plentiful, inexpensive, virtually inexhaustable, and it's waste products cannot be converted to use in weapons. Existing reactors can be converted to use thorium, so what's not to like here?

    • Just realize existing energy special-interests (for oil/coal) are unlikely to simply roll over and allow thorium to enter the market-place, as they've literally spent decades opposing nuclear energy as turf protection (nothing personal, it's only business). Do you think a business that's willing to engage in 'blood for oil' games is NOT above funding anti-nuke groups, too?

Just saying, they've done an awesome job of stirring anti-nuke fervor for their own profits $$ and it's going to take more than a little bit of resolve to overcome the resistance.
