Do you want to see a week of live blogging about permaculture?

A question for you! Every so often I pitch field segments, and something just crossed my desk that I wanted to pass by you...So I am thinking about pitching a week of live blogging/twittering from a permaculture course (only if this of interest to our community of course). So before I pitch it, I want to here from you...is this something you are interested in?
Wikipedia explains it as: The word permaculture is a form of permanent agriculture, as well as permanent culture.
The intent is that, by rapidly training individuals in a core set of design principles, those individuals can design their own environments and build increasingly self-sufficient human settlements — ones that reduce society's reliance on industrial systems of production and distribution that Mollison identified as fundamentally and systematically destroying Earth's ecosystems.
In other words, it's about looking at the earth, your house, the land the surrounds your home, your gardening principles through the eyes of long term sustainability. I was interested when i first started reading about a few years ago, now as I hear the concepts seep into classes like, "The ecology of leadership" I am even more intrigued.
You would see live tweets, short video updates, and blog posts about what I am learning.
So do tell. Are you interested? Yay or nay? (and as always...if this isn't your cup of tea, what is?)

This would be an interesting segment. There are a couple good docs out there about people living off the grid ("Living on the Mesa") and creating their own self-sustaining culture that gave some interesting perspective. Look forward to seeing what you come up with here. http://bit.ly/doTQLW

Absolutely Leah. Permaculture feeds the soil and the soul. Perhaps in the week of blogging you can find a way to contact Geoff Lawton. His work in permaculture is inspiring.

Anything that just makes self sufficiency and an ecological agriculture a visible reality is of a fundamental importance.
Please, do so.

not sure if you have seen this leah, so sharing in case, thought you would appreciate the garden and pat leonard's music is beautiful.... (umm - a slow paced piece for peace)
needles to say, permaculture works beautifully - ancient wisdom reborn - people "used to" understand this, my grandfather being one of them, they didn't need scientists from universities, as in todays world, to tell them they have just discovered trees are the lungs of the planet, they already understood the system....

Yes PLEASE! One of my favorite subjects. I apply the principles to my own home organic veggie garden as much as possible... It is a fantastic understanding of how beautifully life works all together - as one great web - intricately connected - one thing supports the other in harmony - all life is important - working with nature not against it. My garden amazes people (and me, I think it must be enchanted), not only how my food tastes, but how tall my plants grow, my tomato plants gave me three seasons of tomatoes instead of the usual one, bell peppers, strawberries, all kept growing way beyond their normal season... A bit of love, a bit of understanding, knowing it is a "living" system which thrives on balance, love and appreciation for what mother nature gives us goes a long way.... These principles shared between those of us who have a bit of a balcony or land (no matter how small), and the local organic farmers can without question support humanity as well as support a healthy environment and heal what needs to be healed ...
Sharing my little playlist, and also a video of photographs of my little garden so you can see how it has worked for me....

This sounds like a great thing to pitch. There's a boat called 'The Science Barge' that floats in the Hudson in New York. It's really a wonder. So fascinating. Not sure a week's worth of attention would be sustained by it. But certainly a few days...
http://nysunworks.org/?page_id=9
But if you come to New York, you ought to write about this for at least a week!
I'd love to read your permacultural dispatches!
