Greens Win Brighton Pavilion, Called 'a historic achievement'

The Green party won it's first seat for the Brighton Pavilion seat, which will send Caroline Lucas to Westminster. She's the Green Party leader and is recognisable to some voters because Lucas has appeared on shows like Question Time a number of times.

In a BBC interview she aims to show a different kind of politics possible, street meet to pick up issues, bring new ideas and shine a light on other parties on green issues.

"To have broken through the Westminster first-past-the-post electoral system, with its bias against the smaller parties, is certainly a historic achievement but what can she hope to achieve in parliament as a lone green voice among those of 649 other MPs?"-The Guardian
