A year of eating locally: Day 8 mizuna and Spam

Mizuna is a Japanese leafy green and a real gem for a westcoast garden. If it rains, mizuna does well. If it doesn't rain, you can water and it is just fine. It doesn't seem to need a lot of sun, which makes it a good match for winter gardens and shady backyards.
