There is a famous quote about honey bees, attributed to Einstein, that goes:
“If the bee disappears from the surface of the earth, man would have no more than four years to live.”
The trouble is, it seems he most probably didn’t say that. In any case, there is still reason to be quite seriously concerned about declining populations of bees around the world...
