Some climate disruption deniers claim that Venus' surface temperature is so hot because Venus is still cooling down from a massive collision that resulted in "resurfacing" the planet's crust. While this idea is supported by estimates of the youth of Venus' crust, a collision cannot be the source of Venus' high surface temperature.
