Best way to get rid of our growing space debris? Basically, a huge net. Seriously.

Us Earthlings always have discussions on how we can get rid of our assorted junk. We don't do very well; dumping it in the ocean, having massive landfills, etc. We have made improvements over the past 10 years, but I'd like you to think up.

Way up.

Ever since people have started shooting up into space, we often look at what humans do up there rather than what's left. But as of now, we have a lot of "leftovers" from our visits to the final frontier. Small fragments of space debris and metal caught in Earth's orbit and hurling around at speeds of more than 17,000 MPH or (28,200 KPH).

This debris poses the risk of bumping into the useful crap we have, such as GPS satellites, cellular satellites, TV and spy satellites, even the International Space Station could face some trouble because of this.

A group of smarties over at Star Technology and Research have proposed the idea. It's nothing too hard to wrap your mind around, basically send up a ship named Eddie...err (EDDE) with a giant net to capture some of the lower-orbiting debris and get rid of it. I mean, just because space is a huge vacuum, doesn't mean it's just gonna clean up after us.
