Joe Weil is a professor of English at Binghamton University in New York. He has worked there for 5 years. I recently attended Binghamton University Film School, and in my time there I was honored to meet Joe. He has more energy and positive attitude than anyone I've ever met. He had worked in a factory for 20 years, while reading "a book a week" he claims, and writing constantly. In 2003 His writings were eventually published, and he became a recognized poet. Despite his previous lifestyle as a blue collared citizen, and constant belittlement from fellow workers and peers, he rose up to accomplish what he believed in. Binghamton University eventually took him in as a Professor of Creative Writing. Today Joe is trying to teach even more classes outside of school to promote writing among young people.
