This is sooo sad. And yes the three "O's" are necessary.

In Puerto Rico, thousands of unwanted cats and dogs were thrown off 50 foot bridges to their death instead of being euthanized.

    • I don't think it has to do with Puertoricans being lazy,but with the fact that the laws concerning animal cruelty aren't enforced as strongly as other crimes. The government also ignores much of these situations including natural environment ones. The people of PR should be shown how grave these actions are,and awareness of these issues should be raised.

    • people THERE are lazy?!? what the heck is that about?! as a PUERTORRICAN who lives in PUERTO RICO I see the how HARD people here work, so don't continue to perpetuate that horrible stereotype about your own people! (and no you cannot save it by saying not all)!!

      As for the situation: two incredibly saddistic, guys did not do their jobs and instead murdered tens of innocent animals. The news was an outrage here as it was over there and they have been prosecuted and found guilty.

      animal cruelty is a crime...think before you do it.

    • I read in the local paper recently those men responsible for throwing the dogs over the bridge have now been formally charged with cruelty to animals.

    • Being from Puerto Rico I can tell you this is par for the course. People there are so lazy (obviously not everyone), combine that with the rampant stray animal population and you get someone to take a shortcut while working.
