Cloned Beef: It's what's for dinner

Meat and milk from most cloned animals are safe to eat, the Food and Drug Administration announced Tuesday.

After Mad Cow, meat recalls, the pet food thing, etc... does anyone really trust the FDA? Are they really looking to keep harmful food out of consumers' bellies, or just working to get Monsanto's goods in them?

    • FDA is bought and sold. Let's not kid ourselves. That's a whole 'nother can of worms. As far as cloning animals to generate food products, this is getting a little too freaky to me... Do we ever make decisions based on logic, or is profit the only factor in American decision making? Seems like we taking something that should be very simple, and making it very, very complicated. We're also opening the door further to human error and tampering. I wonder what will happen next. One thing I know for sure, I will consider changing from Lacto-Ovo Vegetarian, to good ol' vegan. Better safe than sorry... On the bright side, maybe the article is right, and people will eat less meat (and dairy) out of fear. (yay!)

    • Good to know that the cloners are keeping things real...

What's the point in cloning something that hasn't got the same qualities as the real thing?

A glass of some cloned cow juice and cookies..alright!
