Witness the dramatic fall raptor migration on Hawk Hill as thousands of birds of prey–including hawks, falcons, and eagles–pass over the Marin Headlands. During September and October, docents from the Golden Gate Raptor Observatory will be giving free weekend public programs–join us for a Hawk Talk and Banding Demonstration and learn more about these magnificent birds of prey.

Saturdays and Sundays in Sept. and Oct. 12 PM - 2 PM

Cost: Free
Learn about the magnificent birds of prey on their fall migration. A Golden Gate Raptor Observatory (GGRO) volunteer gives an hour-long talk about hawk migration, identification, and monitoring using photos and other aids.
Then, at 1 pm, a newly banded hawk is brought up and shown to the crowd. After a volunteer talks about the GGRO’s banding program, the hawk is released.
