Ex-bait dog in fighting ring from Kansas City is finalist in ASPCA shelter dog photo contest

Fletch, a pit bull, was brought to the Humane Society of Kansas City as a stray with very serious injuries sustained from being a bait dog in a dog fighting ring. According to the Humane Society, he was covered with numerous wounds and his head was swollen to twice it's size. Bait dogs are usually tied up or somehow cornered to be attacked by dogs training to fight. A bait dog allows for the fighting dog to gain confidence in killing. Which is very disgusting
